So I’m in the back seat of a car in the middle of my two brothers, as the family is driving to our Grandmas’ to celebrate Thanksgiving. Since it’s about an hour’s drive, I figure this would be a good opportunity to catch up on anime on my trusty Googlebook.
One of the animes I watched was the sixth episode of Amagi Brilliant Park. The park is in need of more employees, and Kanie, Sento, and Moffle conduct a series of interviews with prospective employees. But early in the episode Sento has a dream predicting three women who will appear at the interview, and is fearful that these cute girls like them will take her place as secretary.
Of these, the second to appear for the interview is a normal-looking highschool girl, Bandou Biino (I wonder if that’s a reference to a rapper.) And you know what, call me lazy, but instead of describing it with words I’ll just use a bunch of screencaps to show how bizarre/wonderful this scene with Bandou is.
So 元気 (genki). But something odd is afoot.
Briefly, we cut to a man running around the park:
Even odder. And back to the interview:
“Holy shit she actually got stabbed,” I think to myself. “What is going on here.”
Oh man. Oooooooooooh man what is happening:
Suddenly, someone barges into the room:
She doesn’t finish her sentence, but we know what she means.
Moffle is the most badass son of a bitch of this season.
And that’s that. The girl is hired, and the psycopathic onii-chan is sent away in an ambulance. Throughout this whole scene, I’m just in the back of the car, laughing and thinking “what is going on”, as my brothers see the scene unfold too, and get a glimpse of the weird Japanese cartoons I watch all the time.
Then I remember this is from the same people who brought us Full Metal Panic! Fumoffu?, and it all makes sense.
I THOUGHT it looked like the mascot from Full Metal Panic! (Without the scar on the cheek, of course.) A fun post to read! Or, at least, scroll through. 😛
